While Stanford hasn’t played a game since March 10th, they did finish the season strong, winning four of their last five games, with the lone loss being a one-point decision against Pitt in the first round of the ACC Tournament. The Cardinal got a balanced attack from Ebuka Okorie (14 points), Benny Gealer (11), and AJ Rohosy (10), as they made a furious comeback after trailing by eight at halftime.
West Virginia is in a similar situation, having played its last game on March 11th, a 68-48 first-round loss in the Big 12 Tournament to BYU. The Mountaineers got 17 points and three steals from Honor Huff, with a statistical anomaly: he did not make a single 2-point attempt (0-for-5). The Mountaineers’ defense keeps them in games, as they allowed the fewest points per game in Division 1, at just 64.8.
