Olajengbesi Quits Law Practice To Pursue Political Ambition In Osun

March 11, 2026

Public interest lawyer Pelumi Olajengbesi has stepped aside from Law Corridor, an Abuja-based law firm, as he prepared to pursue his political ambition ahead of the 2027 general election

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Partners and Management of Law Corridor announced that Olajengbesi stepped aside from the firm in view of his political activities and aspirations for public service.

The firm explained that the decision was taken in accordance with its internal governance framework, which requires the firm to maintain strict political neutrality.

“This decision is in accordance with the Articles of Governance of Law Corridor, which uphold the firm’s long-standing policy of political neutrality,” said Dr. Ganiyu Ajibola Bello, the Deputy Managing Partner of the firm.

Bello added that the partners of the firm appreciate Olajengbesi’s contributions to the growth of the firm.

“The Partners of the firm express their appreciation to Mr. Olajengbesi for his contributions to the growth and development of Law Corridor and wish him the very best in his public service aspirations,” he said.

Olajengbesi, who previously served as the Managing Partner of Law Corridor, had returned to the firm’s leadership structure as Senior Partner and Group Lead, Family, Succession and Wealth Management (FSW) Practice after completing his tenure as Managing Partner.

Beyond legal practice, Olajengbesi is known for his work in civil society and human rights advocacy. Over the past decade, he has been active in public interest advocacy and social mobilisation.

He is currently the convener of the Imole Grassroots Mobilisation Network, a political support movement advocating the re-election of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke.

Olajengbesi aspires to occupy the Obokun–Oriade Federal Constituency seat of Osun State in the House of Representatives ahead of the 2027 general election.
