March 11, 2026

Rabiu Ali, the iconic midfielder and talisman of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), has made it clear that age is just a number, reaffirming his commitment to leading Kano Pillars to further success.

At 45 years old, the legendary playmaker is currently navigating his 18th consecutive season with the “Sai Masu Gida” and shows no signs of slowing down. Despite his veteran status, Ali remains one of the most influential figures in the current campaign, proving his enduring class by finding the back of the net seven times in 29 appearances this season.

Speaking about his future, the four-time NPFL champion dismissed any immediate thoughts of hanging up his boots. Driven by an unquenchable thirst for silverware, Ali is focused on adding to his impressive collection of titles with the club.

“I’m fit, I still have a lot to offer in the league,” Ali stated, as shared by Nigerian Player Gallery.

“When the time comes, I will retire, but for now I am still active and want to win many trophies with my club.”

Already a legend in the Nigerian top flight, Ali’s dedication remains unwavering as he continues to defy expectations and inspire his team.
