The Tennessee Titans and Vanderbilt Health announced a partnership to make Vanderbilt the new full-time healthcare provider for the NFL team and Nissan Stadium.
“We are excited to enter into this partnership with Vanderbilt Health,” said Burke Nihill, Titans presidentand CEO, in a news release on March 2. “This is a testament to their commitment to delivering world-class medical care and serving communities throughout Middle Tennessee and the Southeast. We know the caring spirit and distinctive capabilities that Vanderbilt is known for will allow us to continue our mission to win, serve, and entertain at the highest level.”
As a result of the partnership, the Titans’ headquarters and practice facility will be renamed the Vanderbilt Health Football Center. This is a departure from the previous sponsorship, partnership and naming rights, which belonged to Ascension St. Thomas Hospital.
Vanderbilt will be tasked with providing emergency medical services at Titans games and other events at Nissan Stadium, both the existing structure and the new structure that will open in 2027. As part of the sponsorship, Vanderbilt Health has purchased naming rights for a terrace in the new stadium as well as “permanent signage within the stadium bowl.”
“Everyone knows that nothing brings a community together like football,” said Jeff Balser, President and CEO for Vanderbilt Health and Dean of Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. “Thislong-term partnership with the Titans signals further expansion of Vanderbilt Sports Medicine into theMid-South and comes at an exciting time with the new Nissan Stadium marking another major step insolidifying Nashville as one of the biggest sports and entertainment markets in the U.S.”
The Titans will play the 2026 season in the existing Nissan Stadium structure. The new Nissan Stadium is on track to be completed in Feb. 2027 and will open for the Titans the ensuing fall.
