Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has described former Ekiti State governor, Ayodele Fayose, as a consistent force in Nigerian politics as he marks his 65th birthday.
Wike, in a congratulatory letter released on Friday through his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, praised Fayose for his courage, loyalty, and clarity in public life.
Wike wrote that Fayose’s new age is a confirmation of the grace the Almighty God has bestowed on you, and a challenge for more service to our country, Nigeria.
“That you have attained this age is no doubt a confirmation of the grace the Almighty God has bestowed on you, and a challenge for more service to our country, Nigeria.
He noted that even at 65, Fayose continues to stand out in Nigeria’s political and governance landscape.
He added that Fayose remains a trusted friend and brother who is always open and firm about his position on any issue.
“Ayodele my younger brother, may you reach the age of your elder brother in good health, and may God continue to make your days on earth fruitful, with immeasurable blessings,” he wrote.
“To a dependable ally, whose yes is yes, and no is no, happy Birthday.”
