Eddie Murphy, the iconic star of “Coming to America,” has tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend, Paige Butcher. The couple wed in a private ceremony in Anguilla earlier this week, as reported by People. The intimate event was attended by close family and friends, marking a joyous occasion for the beloved actor and his new bride.

The bride, 44-year-old Australian model Paige Butcher, looked stunning in a fitted lace gown with a corseted top designed by Tel Aviv-based brand Mira Zwillinger. Eddie Murphy, 63, complemented her elegance in an off-white suit. Despite attempts for comment, representatives for Murphy have yet to respond to Page Six’s request for further details about the nuptials.

This surprise wedding follows Murphy referring to Butcher as his “wife” during a recent interview on the New York Times’ “The Interview” podcast. The couple has been together since 2012 and got engaged in 2018. By the time of their engagement, they had already welcomed their daughter, Izzy, now 8 years old, and shortly afterward, their son, Max, now 5.

Murphy is no stranger to parenthood, with ten children from various relationships. His first son, Eric, was born in 1989 with former girlfriend Paulette McNeely. He has five children — daughters Bria, 34, Shayne, 29, Zola, 24, and Bella, 22, and son Myles, 31 — with ex-wife Nicole Mitchell Murphy. The pair divorced in 2006 after 12 years of marriage. Murphy also has a son named Christian, 33, with ex-girlfriend Tamara Hood, and a daughter named Angel, 16, with Melanie Brown, famously known as Mel B from the Spice Girls.
