Tusiani, a senior vice president of partnerships with the New York Yankees, was driving her 2021 Toyota along Route 128 in Armonk when the incident occurred.
The North Castle Police Department reported that strong winds uprooted a tree, which then fell onto Cathy’s vehicle, resulting in her untimely death. She was the sole occupant of the car at the time of the accident.
Although initially unnamed by authorities, Cathy was later identified as the victim, leaving behind her husband Michael, their two daughters Alexa and Julia, and a devastated community of colleagues and friends within the Yankees organization.
